Dragon Ball came out in 1984, DQ Dai came out in 1989, so no, Enix brought in Toriyama(DB's author), to design the characters from the first DQ game in 1986, Dragon Ball predates Dragon Quest.

Also by far the longest; but, the final arc.

Infiltration of Vearn palace now possible since Popp unlocked his sage mode. Doing it a couple decades before Naruto. Anyways, thankfully it looks as if Merle will pull through so now Popp can use the courage she gave him to help cast the spell with the other disciples. Naturally things can't go as simple as just running right up to Dark King Vearn there has to be some roadblock. It does make sense for Hadlar to offer a final challenge, as the episode title says, to Dai since after the black core was ripped out he's not long for this world. The rivalry between Hadlar and Dai has been running throughout the show thus far and could potentially be coning to a head with this fight. I've loved seeing how the two each want go get stronger to beat one another. Its a classic kind of shonen hero and villain rivalry done right. We do get some few scenes of them beginning the fight so I'm excited to see more. Next episode looks like it will mostly focus on Maam after she unsuccessfully tried reaching out to Albinass the queen.

she is insecure that she might get ntr'ed by merle. honestly, even i myself would say that current Popp is an awesome guy that maam can never match his greatness unless if she stepped her game.

i called it my boiii Hadlar and company is in the building its kind of stupid though all of them need their strength and health to fight vearn but why not have a skirmish death battle before the main boss battle lol Hadlar is A absolute chad i hate him for what he did to Avan and the other cruel stuff he has done but hes grown on me with his honor trope dai has only gotten stronger and hadlar weaker so im sure it wont be too super hard for dai to beat him

Finally we see popp grow

You see the progress of Hadlar's character, from a revenge thirsty bastard, to a petty coward, to a honorable warrior, to even considering joining but knowing he can't as he knows he did horrible things to others, makes him feel so real.

Now watch Maam change ship completely. She really doesn't deserve either Popp or Hyunckel. We stan PoppxMerle and HyunckelxAimi over here!!
